Global Supply Manager

MytraBrisbane, CA

About The Position

This role is for a strategic and hands-on Global Supply Manager who thrives in fast-moving environments and loves the challenge of establishing supply chains and relationships from the ground up. You’ll own sourcing and supply chain strategy for a host of key mechanical commodities - from machined and stamped metals to injection-molded plastics and motors. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, finance, and quality teams to drive value, resilience, and innovation across an evolving global supply base.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2–6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing, preferably within hardware, robotics, automotive, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing Literacy: Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal). You don’t need to be an expert in all of them, but you should know how things are made.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. You are comfortable comparing complex quotes, analyzing cost drivers, and organizing large datasets.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can distill complex supply chain issues into clear updates for internal stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. You are comfortable wearing many hats and pivoting quickly when design changes occur.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Responsibilities

  • Execute the Source-to-Pay Lifecycle: Manage the end-to-day sourcing process, including issuing RFQs, analyzing quotes, issuing Purchase Orders (POs), and resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Supplier Scouting: Research and identify potential suppliers for new component needs, helping to build out Mytra’s diverse supply base.
  • Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a roster of suppliers, conducting regular check-ins to track production schedules and resolve blockers.
  • Engineering Liaison: Work side-by-side with design engineers to understand technical requirements and communicate them clearly to suppliers (and vice versa) regarding manufacturability (DFM) and cost trade-offs.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with Finance, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure material readiness for NPI (New Product Introduction) builds and mass production.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms to achieve the best total cost of ownership.
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate cost models and trackers. Prepare clear, data-driven updates on supply status and risks for the broader team.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential supply shortages or capacity constraints and work quickly to implement backup plans.
