About The Position

The Global Supply Manager for Body Closure Mechanisms and Systems at Talascend LLC is responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. This role involves collaborating with various internal teams, developing supply chain strategies, and overseeing the sourcing process to meet client expectations effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technical, supply chain, or finance discipline; MBA preferred.
• 3-5 years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience with body seals, latches, window regulators, and related technologies.
• Product launch experience preferred with knowledge of quality principles and product development processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset.
• Proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify potential suppliers with the right qualifications.
• Create RFQs and partner with engineering for Statement of Work, review, analyze and clarify quotations from suppliers.
• Negotiate favorable contracts including parts pricing, tooling costs, and Engineering Services.
• Work with suppliers and Engineering to release parts into production and issue POs for Prototype Parts.
• Manage supplier development and tooling timelines, ensuring part availability for prototype builds and production starts.
• Maintain overall supplier relationships and act as the point of contact for all commercial issues.
• Travel 15-25% to visit suppliers for business and program reviews.
