About The Position

This role is responsible for implementing and supporting project management processes within Global Operations at the Arden Hills facility. The position leads the implementation of key site programs by leveraging project management tools, best practices, and effective indirect leadership of cross-functional teams and stakeholders. It proactively coordinates with quality, engineering, supply chain, and facilities teams to drive priorities, process development, and continuous improvement aligned with business goals and objectives. The Project Manager I serves as a key interface across planning, manufacturing, and distribution stakeholders on cross-functional programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; engineering or technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the medical device industry or a similar technical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in product development, manufacturing, sourcing, or operations
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage project initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout processes; develop and implement project plans while building team ownership and commitment
  • Estimate project level of effort and resource requirements using standard tools and techniques in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Prepare project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as Microsoft Project while aligning with cross-functional inputs
  • Direct project execution by assigning tasks, tracking schedules, identifying risks, and implementing contingency plans
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path activities while ensuring project quality standards are met
  • Communicate project status through standard reporting and participation in stakeholder update meetings
  • Resolve project issues by collaborating with team members, customers, and stakeholders
  • Provide project management expertise and consultation to internal teams
  • Conduct project postmortems and communicate lessons learned to drive continuous improvement
  • Lead small to medium-sized, and occasionally multi-site, cross-functional teams; provide input to functional managers on team and individual performance
  • Serve as liaison between teams and franchise customers; lead phase reviews, business reviews, and key communication processes including meeting minutes, issue logs, and metrics
