About The Position

At Boston Scientific, the Global Supply Chain Planner II collaborates with divisional, regional, and clinical counterparts to plan for and maintain appropriate levels of finished goods inventories (owns enterprise-wide SI&OP process). Drives business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data, and coordinates cross functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Helps to drive end to end thinking and agility across value streams with the end customer in mind.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business or Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience of Supply Chain and/or Materials Management.
  • Strong PC skills utilizing such software programs as Excel, and relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Communication skills with the ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-motivated independent worker.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of DRP, MRP, and MPS.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certification - CPIM or CSCP.
  • Experience utilizing SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Experience utilizing Rapid Response or other Advance Planning systems.
  • JIT experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement experience including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Uses advanced capabilities within the planning system to perform demand planning activities.
  • Conduct basic analytics on business problems and datasets. Produces, retrieves, and interprets reports using standard systems and tools.
  • Daily monitoring of inventory levels for products in their portfolio. Recommends inputs to inventory targets and maintains in system.
  • Works directly with marketing, sales operations, and regional planners to set the forecast to meet global demand for stable portfolios.
  • Facilitates portions of cross-functional SI&OP Demand Planning and Net Requirements meetings.
  • Prepares product lifecycle SI&OP templates and ensures sufficient inventory per product event plan.
  • Partners with Clinical Supply Chain to gain general knowledge on clinical study inventory needs.
  • Ensures GSCP-owned fields are complete and accurate for the products in their portfolio.
  • Develops and documents project plans. Executes required monthly/scheduled tasks with some oversight.
  • Supports the Supply Chain team within a franchise or product line, establishing the end-to-end supply chain design.
