The Global Supply Chain Intern supports logistics, demand planning, and inventory management through data analysis, supplier communication, and operational efficiency improvements. Key tasks include creating reports, conducting cost analysis, and optimizing supply chain workflows to ensure on-time delivery. This role integrates academic knowledge with practical experience in demand planning, logistics, and manufacturing operations, adhering to product and quality standards. Allison Transmission is the world’s largest manufacturer of commercial-duty automatic transmissions and hybrid propulsion systems, with products used by over 300 leading vehicle manufacturers across various sectors. Requirements

  • College undergraduate or graduate status with 1-3 years at an accredited college or university, pursuing an academic field of study related to Supply Chain, Data Analysis, Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other technological fields of study.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Analytical ability to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Validate, clean and manipulate supply chain data, creating logistics dashboards, tracking KPIs, and developing reports.
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking and maintaining supplier databases.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and procurement teams on inventory strategy and demand planning.
  • Research emerging technologies to improve supply chain workflows, reduce costs/inventory, and improve efficiency.
  • Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within general practices and procedures, where supervision is available.
  • Assist in the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
