This Position reports to: Global Quality & Continuous Imp Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The work model for the role is: Hybrid, Location: Richmond, VA, Italy - Bergamo, Germany - Heidelberg, France - Chassieu You will be mainly accountable for: Driving approval process for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services, as applicable, involving collaboration with other functions/experts, encompassing activities like Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites. Leading in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-compliant products, or project services. Working together with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary. Ensuring required supplier development processes are thoroughly executed to drive continuous improvement of the supplier base. Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering (electrical engineering preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality of transformers and magnetics (preferred)
  • Knowledge in quality management, analysis/ improving tools
  • Experience in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
  • Ability to travel domestic and international up to 20%
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
