About The Position

In this role, you will strengthen and optimize strategic supplier partnerships by managing supplier performance, mitigating risk, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and business growth.

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • You have 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years with a Master’s degree in supplier management, market analysis, supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, or business process engineering.
  • You have experience managing supplier relationships, performance metrics, and risk mitigation initiatives in a complex business environment.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
  • You’re an effective communicator and relationship builder who can influence stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed to support supplier engagement and business objectives.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Lathem, New York.

  • Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Track supplier performance using tools such as the Global Supplier Rating System (GSRS), incorporating cross-functional feedback to ensure accurate evaluations.
  • Monitor supplier collaboration projects and maintain a competitive supply base that drives cost efficiency and innovation.
  • Assess supplier risk, regulatory compliance, and financial exposure, developing mitigation and contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.
  • Own strategic supplier relationships within assigned categories and align supplier strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure supplier compliance, contract management, and risk mitigation while maximizing value creation.
  • Drive continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives with suppliers to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier performance and support organizational goals.
