Your Team, Your Impact Marvell’s Global Workplace Solutions - Real Estate & Workplace Strategy team manages our worldwide real estate portfolio, aligning workplace strategies with the evolving needs of our global workforce. We focus on providing tactical space solutions and strategic recommendations that help business units use offices efficiently, work productively, foster innovation, and drive business outcomes. As the Space Planning Manager, you will lead the global space planning function, overseeing occupancy tracking, demand forecasting, and space allocation across our offices. You will manage internal and/or vendor resources to maintain accurate drawings, develop stacking plans, and deliver space utilization reporting. In this role, you will partner closely with Facilities, key stakeholders, and business leaders to ensure our workplace is strategically planned and space is optimized for efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Interior Design, Architecture, Space Planning, or Facilities Management
  • 7+ years of experience in workplace strategy, occupancy/space planning, project management, and move management in a corporate environment
  • Experience leading in-house or vendor teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills in manipulation and analysis, and ability to interpret and present data insights effectively
  • Experience with AutoCAD and IWMS systems
  • Knowledge of ADA requirements and building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret floor plans and construction documents
  • Ability to support Marvell’s in-office workplace model
  • Flexibility to travel 4-5 times a year, or as needed

Responsibilities

  • Align Space Strategy: Partner with business leaders to forecast needs, track headcount, and develop workplace plans that adapt to organizational changes
  • Lead Global Planning: Manage the space planning team across regions, overseeing occupancy, stacking plans, and assignments through consistent processes
  • Develop and Maintain plans: Keep AutoCAD drawings for space management current, develop scenario plans and layouts for small projects and furniture reconfigurations
  • Manage moves: Partner with teams and partners to coordinate moves, additions, and changes to workplace and occupants with minimal disruptions
  • Oversee Furniture Reconfigurations: Lead minor furniture reconfiguration projects with extended Global Workplace Solutions team and partners for execution
  • Leverage Technology: Manage and optimize Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) space planning module and ensure accurate employee and location data
  • Stay current with workplace analytics trends and leverage technology to improve space planning function
  • Partner with IT to Integrate workplace technology solutions, such as space management systems, meeting room booking systems, and other tools to enhance efficiency
  • Establish policies: Develop, document, and implement space planning policies to ensure consistent use and assignment of space
  • Report and Communicate: Provide clear, consistent reporting on space data, utilization and planning outcomes to internal and external teams at all levels
