About The Position

Far Bank is seeking an experienced Global Sourcing Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of externally manufactured finished goods, primarily with international suppliers in Asia. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Far Bank's products are sourced, produced, and delivered reliably and cost-effectively. The position requires strong experience working with overseas manufacturers, excellent vendor communication skills, and a disciplined approach to managing purchase orders, costs, supplier performance, and supply chain data. Far Bank is home to the Sage, Redington, and RIO fly fishing brands, and we are passionate about designing and delivering world-class fly-fishing equipment for anglers around the globe.

Requirements

  • Direct experience working with international suppliers, particularly in Asia
  • Experience in customs, logistics and supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and Incoterms, customs documentation and HTS classifications.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple purchase orders and timelines simultaneously
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced product environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain roles
  • Experience working directly with overseas manufacturers or vendors
  • Proficiency with Microsoft D365 ERP or similar ERP systems
  • Familiarity with import documentation, HTS codes, and international shipping processes
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience sourcing consumer products or technical outdoor equipment
  • Experience working with Asian manufacturing partners
  • Demonstrated understanding of overseas manufacturing environments and the operational realities of producing consumer products at scale

Responsibilities

  • Global Finished Goods Purchasing Own day-to-day supplier relationships and manage purchase orders for internationally sourced finished goods, ensuring production schedules and delivery timelines are consistently met
  • Communicate directly with overseas manufacturing partners regarding production timelines, product specifications, and shipment readiness to ensure smooth execution from factory floor to final delivery
  • Coordinate, expedite or reschedule requests when necessary to maintain supply continuity
  • Maintain accurate estimated delivery dates for all inbound purchased finished goods through consistent communication with suppliers
  • Ensure product specifications, packaging requirements, and documentation requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers
  • Proactively identify and resolve shipping, documentation, or compliance issues prior to shipment
  • Supplier Coordination Serve as the primary operational contact between Far Bank and finished goods vendors
  • Maintain consistent communication with suppliers to ensure production schedules and delivery timelines are met
  • Support supplier discussions related to: Unit pricing Price breaks Lead times Minimum order quantities (MOQs) Payment terms
  • Track supplier performance and support ongoing improvements in reliability and responsiveness
  • Customs Coordination Coordinates ocean and air shipments with suppliers
  • Work with Customs Broker to maintain accurate product classifications and ensure correct tariff codes and valuation
  • Coordinate with suppliers and customs brokers to resolve documentation or clearance issues.
  • Stay up to date with all applicable tariff and import regulations
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with product development and operations teams to ensure suppliers clearly understand product specifications, materials, packaging requirements, and quality expectations
  • Support new product introductions by coordinating with vendors to ensure accurate setup and timely production readiness
  • Data Management & Cost Maintenance Maintain and update purchase order costs and landed cost components for purchased finished goods
  • Create SKUs and UPC codes for new products
  • Maintain accurate master data for purchased finished goods including: Vendor information Lead times Minimum order quantities HTS codes Country of origin
  • Ensure purchasing and item data is accurate and current within internal systems
