About The Position

The Global Services Program Office Portfolio Director is a remote role responsible for overseeing strategic changes and operational oversight for First Citizens' Global Services locations, including India. This position plays a crucial role in aligning the GSPO's initiatives with the organization's strategic goals, managing a portfolio of projects, and fostering collaboration across various teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of Business Strategy, Project Planning, and Financial Services Industry experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing programs or projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects and programs simultaneously, preferably in Global Business Services or GSPO construct.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Drive strategic direction and possess strong organizational skills.
  • Business acumen and knowledge in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA degree.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience or certification.
  • Financial or accounting experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the GSPO's strategic plan, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Manage the GSPO's entire lifecycle including Strategy, Demand, Transition Management, and Operational Governance.
  • Prioritize and manage a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities for growth and innovation within the GSPO.
  • Manage global initiatives emerging from GS strategies and priorities.
  • Establish and maintain robust GSPO processes, standards, and templates.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Track key metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to measure portfolio and entity performance.
  • Understand entity level risks, controls, and gaps and develop mitigation plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to business and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the GSPO team.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders and external partners.
  • Effectively communicate GSPO initiatives, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Negotiate and influence stakeholders to ensure alignment with GSPO goals.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure alignment and execution of Global Services priorities.
