About The Position

As a Global Security Senior Supervisor, you will play a critical role managing and maintaining security operations across multiple Stryker Medical campus buildings in Portage, MI, contributing to the safety and resilience of Stryker' operations. In this role, you will ensure the protection of personnel, property, and information by overseeing daily security functions, responding to incidents, maintaining security systems and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. You will also serve as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Security Director and collaborate closely with internal departments to foster a safe and secure work environment. This role is fully on-site and requires working from our Portage, MI office 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 6 years of additional professional experience, in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in security-related roles across the public, private, or corporate sectors.
  • Expertise in technical security frameworks and best practices.
  • Experience overseeing multi-site security operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree.
  • Certifications in security management or related fields (e.g., CPP, PSP).
  • Experience in a regional corporate environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily security operations across multiple buildings, ensuring consistent enforcement of protocols and alignment with global standards.
  • Coordinate responses to security incidents, investigations, and emergencies, including documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Serve as the primary site contact in the absence of the Security Director, ensuring continuity of leadership and decision-making.
  • Partner stakeholders to address employee-related security matters, including investigations and high-risk terminations.
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements to maintain a secure environment.
  • Prepare and deliver regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and risk assessments to leadership teams.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to enhance employee and security staff awareness of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to maintain and optimize physical security systems such as access control and surveillance.
  • Collaborate closely with local law enforcement and emergency medical services.
