About The Position

Essential Job Functions GSOC Operations & 24/7 Command Lead and manage 24/7 GSOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, staffing coverage, and shift handover discipline. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for transportation-related security and disruption events. Maintain operational readiness across all GSOC systems, processes, and personnel. Serve as the primary escalation point for security incidents requiring management or executive engagement. Ensure GSOC operations align with approved policies, SOPs, escalation matrices, and crisis playbooks. High Value & HVHR Monitoring Oversee real time monitoring of HVHR shipments, including GPS/telematics, sensor alerts, route deviations, prolonged stops, and seal integrity events. Ensure disciplined enforcement of HVHR and High Value Security Policies, including stop governance, documentation, and evidence capture. Direct coordinated response to incidents including: Suspected or actual theft Tampering, seal breaches, and suspicious activity Missed handoffs, excessive dewll, unauthorized stops, and errant delivery Ensure proper chain of custody documentation during recoveries, inspections, and transloads. Ensure rapid escalation to operations, security leadership, and customers (when required). Incident Management & Resolution Lead GSOC response to security incidents, including transportation security events, facility alarms, access control violations, and personnel safety incidents. Ensure incidents are assessed, categorized, escalated, and resolved in accordance with established incident severity thresholds. Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Global Security, Operations, IT, Legal, Safety, Communications) and external partners (carriers, law enforcement, security vendors). Oversee production of incident reports, after action reviews, and corrective action tracking. Crisis Management & Executive Coordination Support and execute crisis management activation for major incidents impacting business continuity, life safety, or reputation. Serve as GSOC lead during crisis events, providing accurate, timely situational awareness to leadership and the Crisis Incident Command Center (CICC). Ensure alignment with Crane crisis management, business continuity, and emergency response frameworks. Support crisis exercises, tabletop simulations, and readiness testing. Threat Intelligence & Risk Monitoring Direct collection, analysis, and dissemination of threat intelligence, including geopolitical, criminal, weather, and operational risk indicators. Integrate intelligence into GSOC workflows to enable proactive risk identification and early warning. Ensure intelligence products are actionable, timely, and aligned to operational decision making. Maintain awareness of emerging threats impacting logistics, transportation, and facilities. Physical Security Systems (CCTV & Access Control) Oversee GSOC monitoring of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and alarm systems, where integrated. Ensure GSOC staff are trained and authorized to monitor, validate, and escalate physical security events. Partner with Facilities, IT, and Global Security teams on system standards, coverage gaps, and enhancements. Support audits, access reviews, and compliance activities related to physical security systems. People Leadership & Performance Lead, coach, and develop GSOC supervisors, analysts, and intelligence staff. Ensure training, certification, and competency standards are met across all GSOC roles. Establish performance metrics, quality assurance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. Foster a disciplined, calm, and professional operating culture suitable for high pressure environments. Minimum 7+ years of experience in security operations, GSOC, SOC, emergency operations, or command center environments. 5+ years in a supervisory or management role within a 24/7 operations center. Demonstrated experience managing high value assets, transportation security, or supply chain security. Strong working knowledge of incident management, crisis response, and escalation frameworks. Hands on experience with CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, GPS/telematics, or case management platforms. Proven ability to lead teams in high tempo, high consequence environments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or global enterprise environments. Familiarity with TAPA, C TPAT, ISO, or similar security frameworks. Experience integrating threat intelligence and OSINT into operational workflows. Professional certifications (CPP, PSP, PCI, CBCP, or similar).
