About The Position

This candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Executive Protection Specialists tasked with performing all aspects of protective operations domestically and outside the United States. This person must be able to lead and operate within a small team environment and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of designated individuals and assets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading teams in the protective operations space, providing discrete protective services, maintaining strict confidentiality, and must possess seasoned communication skills. This is an in-office role and will require domestic and international travel.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10+ years professional experience in executive protection, law enforcement, or military special operations.
• At least 3 years of corporate EP leadership experience.
• Tech sector leadership experience is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience in protection concepts including protective intelligence, secure transportation, contingency planning, and counter surveillance.
• Experience in international and domestic travel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative abilities and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of physical security systems including intrusion detection systems and CCTV.
• Technologically savvy.
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
• Good physical condition capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Capable of hiking/backpacking for several miles in austere environments.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Keynote presentations.
• Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision.
• Understanding of security concepts and theories.
• Adept at identifying and managing vendors for concurrent projects globally.
• Basic medical training preferred.
• Advanced medical training and certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day executive security operations.
• Lead, mentor, and grow an established team of Executive Protection professionals.
• Communicate effectively with and influence all levels of leadership.
• Build and foster relationships with key business units, senior executives, and their support teams.
• Coordinate regularly with cross-functional partners, internal business units, and various service providers and agencies.
• Coordinate security related duties including executive protection, secure transportation, safety/emergency planning, risk assessments, special event planning, etc.
• Prioritize strategies through a holistic approach to security to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risk.
• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing discrete executive protection services.
• Quickly collect, analyze, and disseminate information in a timely manner.
• Work under stressful conditions and in ambiguous environments.
• Travel frequently, often on short notice, including globally.
• Conduct advance operations and develop, implement, and audit security plans.
• Be available on-call for emergencies and adaptable to changing schedules.
• Work with highly confidential information.
• Perform other duties as required.
