Purpose The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst is responsible for working independently and collaboratively to provide decision makers and business partners throughout the Global Security organization with actionable, tailored intelligence information. Analyst will work in a 24/7 intelligence center environment . The analyst will demonstrate a level of geopolitical understanding, analysis, writing, and critical thinking skills. The analyst is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents/events which may impact AbbVie’s people assets, products, and reputation. HOURS: 9:30pm - 6:00am (OVERNIGHT SHIFT) This role will be on a rotating schedule - e.g. 6 nights on / 3 days off etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 3 years of experience in a security center or similar environment required OR if the candidate has Bachelors degree or military experience (the experience is preferred not required).
  • 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with a corporate security environment, intelligence community, law enforcement or the military.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts, and willingness to assist the team with overtime when needed.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced and at times stressful work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with high-tech work environment while regularly learning new tools and innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Author strategic intelligence assessments and reports that represent potential impact to AbbVie personnel, assets, and reputation. Reporting of interest may relate to criminal activity, geopolitical instability, issue-based activism, political violence, terrorism, severe weather, or labor strikes.
  • Monitoring various information sources to detect potential risks globally.
  • Monitoring travel safety and security of AbbVie’s business travelers.
  • Support the Business Risk Intelligence team with intelligence reporting to more effectively tailor monitoring of developments of specific interest to AbbVie.
  • Follow procedures specific to established writing standard, style, and expectations, conduct detailed review of intelligence reports authored by other analyst, to ensure adherence to these expectations.
  • Brief senior decision-makers within Global Security on global trends and events, with a specific focus on potential risk of business to AbbVie.
  • Collaborate with the GSOC network, US and OUS, to provide incident awareness and crisis management support to AbbVie globally.
  • Provide support and expertise to the Global Security Investigations, Protective Services, and other business partners such as site security, Commercial, Purchasing and Supplier Management and Supply Chain Security.
  • Manage individual projects in support of strategic initiatives and serve as security systems platform administrator.
  • Gather and prepare metrics to drive decision making.
