We are seeking a strategic leader to drive our enterprise packaging strategy, advising senior leadership on packaging opportunities and decisions. This role will lead cross functional integration of sustainable packaging initiatives ensuring sustainable packaging is embedded across business units and executed through the supply chain. Acting as a connector and catalyst, the leader will build business cases, track progress, and hold teams accountable for delivering measurable impact. The position will steward enterprise response to key regulatory progress, including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), ensuring a pathway to compliance while advancing circularity goals and accelerating systems-level change.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in packaging strategy, sustainability, environmental policy, or related fields.
Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior leadership.
Deep understanding of sustainable packaging, policy, and market dynamics.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including external representation.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive alignment across diverse teams.

Nice To Haves

Advanced degree in environmental science, sustainability, public policy, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise-wide efforts to achieve sustainable packaging commitments.
Rally and align cross-functional teams across global business units to integrate packaging sustainability into core operations and product development.
Drive execution of packaging changes through the supply chain, ensuring feasibility, scalability, and compliance.
Serve as the enterprise EPR project manager, overseeing road maps, governance, reporting, and strategic engagement on evolving regulations.
Build and present business cases that balance sustainability impact with financial and operational considerations.
Track and report progress against packaging goals, ensuring accountability and transparency across the organization.
Monitor emerging packaging policies, market trends, and stakeholder expectations to inform strategy and mitigate risks.
Represent the company in packaging-related coalitions, industry groups, and policy forums to advance shared goals.
Ensure packaging strategy is informed by robust data, impact measurement, and scenario modeling.

If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
