Global Regulatory Operations Manager Expedia Group’s Regulatory Operations team is looking for a high-energy, motivated individual to support a portfolio of regulatory initiatives. We are looking for someone who will facilitate outstanding operational methodologies, coordinating across a diverse, globally distributed team to ensure that Expedia Group meets regulatory requirements. We’re seeking a people leader to manage the Regulatory and Marketplace Operations compliance space and deliver end-to-end analytical and technical programs in response to evolving global requirements. You will delegate and prioritize work, coach and develop the team, and partner across the business to plan, build, launch, and sustain regulatory processes and reporting at scale. We need someone with passion for problem solving and acute attention to detail. You will partner with regional leaders, Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, Tax, Legal, and Government Affairs to collaborate on action, complete compliance requirements, and develop end to end operational implementation. You bring a strong operational mindset and hands-on technical fluency in data analytics to support analyst work, validate outputs, and drive high-quality, accurate outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in Regulatory Operations, Program/Project Management, or related Ops roles in a regulated environment; 3+ years managing analysts or similar individual contributors
  • Proven ability to delegate, develop talent, and build inclusive, high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success delivering end-to-end operational and technical solutions (requirements, data mapping, design, build, QA/UAT, launch, monitoring)
  • Experience with Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, advanced formulas), SQL, Confluence, BI Tools (Tableau/Power BI).
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and the ability to translate legal/policy requirements into operational and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and risk/issue management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for problem solving; audit-ready mindset
  • Familiarity with regulatory environments and comfort with reading and understanding ordinances, legislation, or other government directives

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of analysts.
  • Delegate work effectively, define KPIs, provide prioritization, and balance workloads and capacity against legal requirements.
  • Coach and drive career progression through feedback, opportunity identification, and skills development.
  • Understand capabilities and constraints to guide analyst work and trade-offs.
  • Connect stakeholder needs to deliverables.
  • Translate legal, policy, and business requirements into clear tickets/specs with acceptance criteria.
  • Understand how these initiatives align within the Marketplace Operations compliance space.
  • Ensure analysts understand context, customer impact, and success measures for their work.
  • Manage day-to-day workload and ad hoc/legal requests.
  • Provide frequent status updates, manage stakeholder expectations, and review reports/deliverables.
  • Create QA (quality assurance) and Q&A opportunities to raise quality and clarify requirements.
  • Track program status, risks, and dependencies; communicate updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive operational excellence and scalability.
  • Connect current capabilities against business and legal needs, with an understanding technical nuances, to provide guidance and recommendations.
  • Monitor SLAs, exceptions, and incidents; drive root-cause fixes and continuous improvement.
  • Promote collaboration to implement tooling, automation, and standardization.
  • Coordinate vendor/third-party work where applicable
