Job Summary: Micron Technology Inc. is looking for a Global Quality Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Technician to perform ESD and Latch Up testing for new product characterizations, device qualifications and special work requests. You will work closely with engineering and production teams to complete vital testing and may be asked to perform customer specific, or engineering requests as needed. You will also be required to document results and connect with the appropriate parties. Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related technical field, active pursuit of a STEM degree, or equivalent military training and experience.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a rotating schedule (3 days on/4 days off, then 4 days on/3 days off), or four 10‑hour shifts.
  • Must be flexible to adjust to different shifts or overtime as business needs arise.
  • Demonstrated strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills with the ability to safely handle small, delicate, or fragile components in a fast‑paced manufacturing or laboratory environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM degree
  • 2 years experience in a Semiconductor manufacturing or testing environment
  • 2 years of experience in ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and/or latch‑up test operations.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, area procedures, and operational work rules.
  • Support engineers and managers by assisting with test program setup (MK2, Orion), equipment preparation, and executing assigned technical tasks.
  • Perform device testing.
  • Acquire parts and test specifications.
  • Collect pre-read, test, and post-read data.
  • Validate failed parts and manage complex test flows on multiple testers.
  • Conduct tester hardware changeovers, verify test setups, isolate failing test or stress conditions with engineering, and evaluate hardware/tester correlation.
  • Track products and test progress using Micron-specific software systems to ensure accurate documentation and workflow integrity.
  • Generate qualification and test‑finding documentation, including customized data sheets, pin‑association tables, and compiled test results; submit for engineering review and maintain archived reports.
