The Global Public Relations (PR) & Content Manager leads Interface’s global thought leadership, narrative development, and public relations strategy. This role ensures that what Interface stands for is clearly reflected in how the company shows up in the market through earned and owned media, executive visibility, and influential storytelling. By shaping clear points of view across sustainability, design, and performance, this role sets PR priorities, fuels proactive media engagement, and delivers measurable reputation and visibility outcomes across regions. This high energy, resourceful and creative individual is responsible for developing and executing communication plans and programs that drive both internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong experience in public relations, earned and owned media, and executive communications, with a proven content and storytelling background.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives that drive visibility and influence.
  • Experience managing direct reports, agencies, and cross‑functional stakeholders across regions.
  • Highly organized, strategic thinker with strong judgment and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and entrepreneurial spirit; ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects at once.
  • Willingness to adopt new technologies, including Generative AI, and an understanding of how Gen AI can be leveraged in communications and PR.
  • Excellent computer skills; graphic design and visual storytelling understanding/experience is a plus.
  • Interest or experience in sustainability, design, innovation, or purpose‑led brands preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead global thought leadership platforms aligned with Interface’s business objectives and brand priorities.
  • Define core narratives, messaging frameworks, and points of view that differentiate Interface and nora brands globally.
  • Partner with Sustainability, Design, R&D, and Marketing to surface insights, proof points, and stories that can be activated through PR and executive communications.
  • Ensure thought leadership is developed with earned media, executive visibility, and influence in mind from the outset; monitor and evaluate the impact of these initiatives.
  • Translate thought leadership priorities and narratives into clear global PR strategies, themes, and story angles.
  • Guide proactive media engagement, executive commentary, and speaking opportunities that reinforce Interface’s leadership position.
  • Partner with regional marketing, PR, and agencies to ensure consistent positioning, messaging discipline, and strong results across markets.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on reputation management, emerging issues, and reactive media opportunities.
  • Oversee content development, including executive POVs, bylines, narrative briefs, media backgrounders, and flagship thought leadership assets.
  • Manage a global content and PR calendar that supports priority moments, campaigns, and visibility opportunities.
  • Ensure content is designed to travel across earned and owned media, executive platforms, digital channels, and industry forums.
  • Identify and drive executive visibility opportunities aligned with Interface’s narratives and thought leadership.
  • Prepare and support spokespeople with messaging, narrative guidance, and media training.
  • Act as a trusted counselor to senior leaders on how to show up externally with credibility and consistency.
  • Monitor trends to identify where Interface can credibly enter the conversation.
  • Partner with PR colleagues and agencies to activate thought leadership through timely commentary, newsjacking, and rapid response opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with regional teams and external agencies to balance global consistency with local relevance.
  • Build strong relationships with Marketing and Communications teammates across regions to amplify priority stories and initiatives.
  • Manage and develop team members and contributors as applicable.
  • Contribute to broader global communications and internal communications initiatives as needed.
