The Global Product Category Manager ensures that Safeguard’s strategies become action—turning insight, data, and field feedback into demand and brand preference. This role leads the operational heartbeat of a product category, managing launches, market activation, and performance tracking on a global scale. It’s a hands-on leadership role designed for professionals who thrive at the intersection of product and market execution. Role Purpose: The Global Product Category Manager (GPCM) drives execution and commercial performance for their assigned category. They serve as the operational link between global strategy and regional execution, ensuring every product launch, campaign, and distributor activation delivers measurable outcomes. You won’t just be filling a role—you’ll be making a difference. Every decision, every action, every idea you bring to the table helps responders around the world save lives when it matters most.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; equivalent years of experience can be substituted for the degree
  • 4–6 years of experience in product or category management, preferably in medical or safety industries. Previous experience in trauma medicine or prehospital medical device industry may be considered as a substitution for the product marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing product launches and lifecycle processes.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable plans and deliver measurable results.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

  • Experience working with global distributors or channel partners.
  • Exposure to field or customer engagement activities (trade shows, VOC programs).
  • Understanding of pricing strategy and financial modeling.
  • Prior involvement in product development or operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute global strategy at a category level with precision and accountability.
  • Support quarterly and annual category planning and performance reporting.
  • Translate VOC, competitive insights, and data into portfolio decisions.
  • Drive demand creation through ambassador engagement and distributor alignment.
  • Maintain lifecycle excellence and SKU profitability.
  • Translate category strategy into tactical quarterly plans.
  • Conduct regular VOC interviews and maintain insight databases.
  • Support marketing campaigns with product-level expertise and performance feedback.
  • Manage lifecycle of assigned SKUs and monitor category health.
  • Support distributor and ambassador initiatives to generate pull-through demand.
