Nobel Biocare Global Procurement Category Manager, provides leadership and management of given Category in a Direct procurement area with responsibilities of supporting quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and innovation with the main emphasis on cost savings through purchase price variance (PPV). This position provides procurement support for manufacturing, distribution facilities and R&D/Engineering with suppliers worldwide. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the development, implementation, management, and performance of sourcing strategies within a given Category, to meet business goals and objectives. Responsible for the assigned Direct material Category and work with cross-functional groups to generate cost savings through negotiation and resourcing activities globally. Upon request, supports the Value Engineering side of procurement by assisting in identifying opportunities, negotiating prices and communication with suppliers. Manages the assessment, selection and development of strategic suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals. Managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolutions, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans Establishes a strong network and fosters collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders and team members. Researches and benchmarks current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, supply chain capacity/capability, product knowledge, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges. Responsible for the procurement of contracts including the management of cost, schedule and performance parameters. Developing contract specifications, work statements, and terms & conditions. Utilizes Envista Business System (EBS) reporting tools to extrapolate analyze and interpret data to help assess and deliver results. Implements visual management of key data for cost savings, supplier spend, supplier risk, contractual coverage, and other sourcing related key performance indicators. Follows Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Protocols to ensure data accuracy. Uses supplier performance scorecards for quality, delivery, and cost to facilitate the alignment of capabilities to our business requirements. Conducts supplier risk management by reviewing sourcing restrictions, revenue impacts, supplier evaluation ratings, and supplier stability indicator scores. Uses evaluation to develop plans for high risk parties. Liaison among different departments, managers and suppliers. Ability to make timely decisions and juggle multiple responsibilities.
