About The Position

The Global Positioning System (GPS) and Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) Instructor II position is a full-time, on-site position that will develop, instruct, validate, and maintain course material for the Officer Training Course (OTC) at the 319th Combat Training Squadron, Peterson SFB CO.

Requirements

  • Skilled communicator, experienced in providing platform instruction to an academically diverse audience of military, government civilian, and contract personnel.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing and its impact on military operations and national security overall.
  • Possess knowledge of Navigation Warfare and how it impacts operations in a contested, degraded, and operationally limited environment.
  • Familiar with PNT devices and methodologies as they impact the planning and conduct of military operations worldwide.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Active or current Top-Secret Clearance and SCI eligibility required.
  • Work on-site – minimal telework authorized
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (engineering desired) or a bachelor’s degree and 8 years of additional experience may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in industry, academia, or with a U.S. Government agency.

Responsibilities

  • OTC course development: Translates GPS and NAVWAR into Course/Lesson Objectives; create lessons, supporting course material, and Course Control Documents (CCD) IAW Instructional Systems Design (ISD) processes and procedures.
  • OTC course instructor: Develop, qualify on, and instruct in-residence course materials consistent with the principles of Instructional Systems Design (ISD), and aligned to 319 CTS instructions, security classification guides, and other guidance as identified in lesson plans; determine and develop course content changes with Task Lead/stakeholders, prepare peer instructors to teach.
  • Provide GPS/NAVWAR-related classroom instruction in multiple OTC blocks.
  • Interface with GPS/NAVWAR agencies as required to maintain a state-of-the-art training program.
  • Coordinate instructional activities with Contract Task Lead and government supervisory personnel.
