About The Position

The Global Planning Systems Manager serves as the primary liaison between New Balance's Global Supply, Demand, and Inventory Planning teams and IT. This role ensures effective operation, support, and continuous improvement of planning systems, aligning digital solutions with business objectives and industry best practices. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong stakeholder management to drive system advancements and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum 5 years of experience in planning systems consulting, implementation, and support.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning domains: supply, demand, inventory, distribution, S&OP/S&OE.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of direct reports.
  • Proven ability on communication, and cross functional collaboration, and ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience in footwear/apparel retail industry preferred.
  • Familiarity with o9 Solutions and/or Logility preferred.
  • ASCM certifications (e.g., CPIM) are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central point of contact for global planning teams, ensuring system support and customer success.
  • Manage day-to-day system operations, troubleshoot issues, and oversee resolution tracking.
  • Drive the planning systems roadmap and advancement, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational needs.
  • Monitor and resolve data flow issues across PLM, ERP, and planning systems.
  • Lead UAT planning, scenario development, and execution.
  • Support user training and maintain SOP documentation for integrated systems.
  • Stay current with platform updates, AI/ML features, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, support and develop direct report(s)
