The engineer coordinates contract install/service labor, leads small projects, and assists in the annual security systems budgeting process. They ensure the viability of all physical security systems, both legacy and new, to minimize business disruption due to system failures. The position requires maintaining an in-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art security equipment standards and technology, suggesting system solutions to security concerns, and performing annual audits for access control systems. The engineer also creates scopes of work, interprets CAD/technical blueprints, and coordinates vendor/installer technicians for project installs and service calls.
