About The Position

We are SLR Consulting (Americas), a 1200+ team of advisory, environmental, engineering, and regulatory professionals across Canada and the United States. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. We are Making Sustainability Happen. The Role SLR is currently seeking a Global People Systems Analyst to strengthen our Workday capability across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong HR systems professional who thrives on improving processes, enhancing data insights, and delivering excellent user experiences. Reporting into the Business Systems function, you will provide hands-on technical support and administration of our core HR system, Workday. You will work closely with regional People teams and stakeholders to optimize system configuration, ensure data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across our global People systems landscape. This role requires a specialist in Core HCM and demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following areas: Recruitment Reporting & People Analytics Security Absence Management If you are a technically confident and analytically minded Workday professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering high-quality system solutions in a global environment, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Proven experience administering and configuring Workday
  • Strong expertise in Core HCM, plus a specialist in one of the following Workday elements: Recruitment, Reporting, Security, or Absence.
  • Experience designing and managing HRIS reporting and dashboards.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data analysis).
  • Knowledge of GDPR/CCPA and experience applying data protection principles within HR systems.
  • Experience supporting system testing, releases, and configuration changes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical approach.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Discreet and diplomatic, with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize effectively across global time zones.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day technical support and administration of the core HR system, resolving queries and ensuring appropriate system access.
  • Partner with regional HR System Administrators to monitor and resolve system issues via shared service channels.
  • Lead and support reporting requirements, including designing and developing HR dashboards and analytics solutions.
  • Support testing activities in the HRIS Sandbox environment for new releases, enhancements, and updates.
  • Assist with global performance and reward cycles (e.g., annual review and bonus processes).
  • Conduct regular data audits and quality checks, collaborating with regional teams to maintain data accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve HR processes through system optimization.
  • Facilitate system change initiatives in partnership with People teams and business stakeholders.
  • Develop user guidance, training materials, and best-practice documentation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging system functionality and HR technology trends.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • The salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,00.
  • Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
  • Full-time, permanent role with flexible scheduling available (core hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm)
