About The Position

This role is ideal for a seasoned payroll professional with extensive experience managing multi-country payroll operations. As the Global Payroll Manager, you will oversee payroll administration for a distributed workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple regions. You will partner with Finance, People, and Legal teams to optimize processes, implement systems, and support global headcount expansion. This position allows you to lead a team, influence payroll strategy, and contribute to building a best-in-class payroll function that scales with the business. You will be responsible for payroll compliance, reporting, vendor management, and continuous process improvement, providing a critical backbone for global operations. Your expertise will ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while enabling the organization to expand seamlessly into new countries.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive payroll experience, including 3+ years managing global payroll operations.
  • 2+ years of experience overseeing direct reports (managing external consultants is acceptable).
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, practices, and systems (e.g., ADP WFN or similar).
  • Familiarity with payroll accounting, including reconciliations, accruals, and month-end processes.
  • Experience with payroll vendor selection, implementation, and integration.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • CPP, CPA, or equivalent credentials.
  • experience with non-US payroll (EOR/PEO or direct employment), particularly in LATAM and/or EMEA regions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee payroll processing for employees across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Manage relationships with EOR/PEO vendors and external payroll providers, evaluating service delivery and selecting partners when needed.
  • Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including HR data, compensation changes, and relocations, while addressing employee payroll inquiries.
  • Partner with People, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure compliance with statutory reporting, leave policies, and labor regulations.
  • Prepare payroll-related accounting entries, reconciliations, and ad-hoc reports for finance and legal teams.
  • Develop, improve, and maintain payroll processes, documentation, and integrations across HR, payroll, and finance systems.
  • Lead and mentor a payroll team, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
