About The Position

Requirements

• Degreed in Paper Science and/or Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred
• 5+ years of relevant working experience in an industrial R&D or operational environment (preferably in the paper or paper converting industry)
• Able to work independently and take responsibility
• Drive to make things happen
• Excellent communication and networking skills with the ability to connect to Operations, Purchasing, CEOs, and different levels at suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current product range with its technical specifications
• Develop a thorough understanding of available paper grades in the market
• Build a thorough knowledge of existing supply base
• Assess new opportunities for paper sourcing consolidation
• Establish and monitor quality requirements for suppliers
• Manage and execute R&D projects to introduce new paper solutions while balancing short-term challenges and long-term strategy
• Build and maintain a network in the paper field, including suppliers, research institutes, associations, and other companies
• Identify new areas of opportunity in the market for the development of new applications or products.
