About The Position

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Global Payroll Manager to lead the development and governance of our international payroll operations. This role is central to managing outsourced payroll vendors (BPO), ensuring compliance, and enabling local teams to deliver exceptional service to employees across France, Spain, India, and other global locations. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise with ADP, Workday, and SD Worx, and a proven ability to manage vendor relationships, control scope creep, and develop scalable payroll processes. This role champions a globally standardized payroll framework, while empowering local teams through enablement and engagement to ensure high-quality, compliant, and employee-centric payroll delivery.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in global payroll management, including direct oversight of BPO vendors.
  • Proven experience managing payroll in France, Spain, and India.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP, Workday, and SD Worx is essential.
  • Strong understanding of international payroll compliance, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships, control costs, and prevent scope creep.
  • Experience leading payroll development initiatives and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own and develop global payroll processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure consistency and scalability across regions while enabling local teams to tailor delivery to meet country-specific requirements.
  • Partner with regional HR and Finance teams to support local execution and employee engagement.
  • Lead relationships with global payroll vendors (e.g., ADP, SD Worx), ensuring performance against SLAs and KPIs.
  • Implement structured vendor governance to control BPO scope creep, enforce accountability, and ensure cost transparency.
  • Conduct regular vendor audits, performance reviews, and contract evaluations.
  • Drive the development of payroll systems and processes, ensuring they are future-ready and aligned with business needs.
  • Leverage Workday as the core HCM system to streamline integrations and improve data accuracy.
  • Champion automation, digital reporting, and employee self-service tools to enhance payroll delivery.
  • Ensure payroll compliance with evolving legislation and statutory requirements in all jurisdictions.
  • Proactively manage risks related to data privacy, fraud, and audit readiness.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support internal and external audits.
  • Deliver payroll analytics and insights to support labor cost forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning.
  • Partner with Finance and HR to align payroll data with broader business objectives.
  • Ensure a seamless and accurate payroll experience for employees, enhancing trust and retention.
  • Empower and engage local payroll teams with tools, training, and support to deliver best-in-class service.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across global and local payroll functions.
