About The Position

The Immigration Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the immigration process for employees and candidates within the company. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with US immigration laws and company policies. The manager will provide guidance on immigration-related matters and oversee the immigration program's day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree with 2 years of Human Resources and Immigration experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 4 years of Human Resources and Immigration experience.
  • Associate's degree with 8 years of Human Resources and Immigration experience.
  • High school diploma/GED with 10 years of Human Resources and Immigration experience.

  • Strong knowledge of all US visa types and processes.
  • Experience managing multiple activities for a large US immigration program.
  • Experience providing consultations on complex immigration matters.
  • Leadership experience on specialized projects related to US immigration policy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the immigration process for employees and candidates.
  • Collaborate with HR, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Payroll, and immigration service providers to ensure compliance with US immigration laws.
  • Provide strong vendor management to deliver a premium employee experience.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of US immigration processes and identify policy gaps.
  • Provide hands-on support and training to HR and Talent Acquisition staff.
  • Lead escalations between immigration counsel, staff, HR, and management.
  • Oversee US visa sponsorship assessments in partnership with Talent Acquisition and HR.
  • Manage day-to-day immigration program operations and files.
  • Identify long-term sponsorship issues and communicate risks to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate posting of LCA notices for timely H-1B filings.
  • Manage transitions related to M&A activity and conduct internal audits of immigration data.
  • Support external immigration counsel with audit requests from US DOL and USCIS.
  • Establish reporting routines to update HR and Business on immigration status.
  • Monitor changes in US immigration law and analyze impacts on staff.
  • Review and audit immigration data and processes, updating as necessary.
  • Ensure high-quality experiences for employees and managers through vendor management.
  • Track, audit, and approve immigration invoices and prepare budgets based on trends.
  • Conduct vendor SLA audits to ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Serve as the point of contact for signing visa and green card petitions.
  • Collaborate on the H-1B lottery process and registration with the government.
  • Oversee FlexAbility requests for immigration compliance.
  • Deliver and track Return Transportation Agreements for H-1B exits.
