Earlier, he started and led Google's AR/VR effort, Project Starline, and Google Lens. Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Global Mobility, International HR, or related people operations functions.
  • Deep understanding of international relocation, immigration, and tax compliance frameworks across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC.
  • Proven ability to design scalable mobility programs in fast-growing, global technology companies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills - able to influence and partner with executives, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and hands-on execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting international entity setup and workforce expansion into new countries.
  • Familiarity with global HRIS, payroll, or mobility management tools.
  • Certification in Global Mobility (e.g., GMS, CRP, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage global mobility programs and policies covering relocation, immigration, and transfers to ensure a seamless employee experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Finance, and business leaders on workforce planning, cross-border moves, and new country expansions.
  • Oversee vendor relationships with immigration, tax, and relocation partners to drive compliance and operational excellence.
  • Advise employees and leaders on visa, tax, and mobility best practices as a trusted global mobility expert.
  • Build scalable, compliant systems that balance cost, efficiency, and employee experience while staying ahead of global mobility trends and regulatory changes.
