About The Position

The Global Mobility & Immigration Specialist is responsible for managing the global relocation, immigration, and mobility processes for employees. This role ensures compliance with international laws and company policies while providing support for seamless transitions across borders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of immigration regulations, international assignment management, and relocation logistics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in global mobility, immigration, or international HR.
  • Experience managing cases regarding TN Visas, L1 Visas, H1-B Visas and green card process.
  • Knowledge of global immigration laws and relocation processes.
  • Experience working with global mobility vendors, legal counsel, and tax advisors.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

  • GMS (Global Mobility Specialist) certification.
  • Experience supporting EMEA, APAC, or LATAM regions.
  • Multilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage end-to-end visa and work authorization processes for new hires, internal assignees and other employees who need to travel internationally.
  • Work closely with legal counsel and external immigration providers to ensure compliance with global immigration laws.
  • Serve as the internal expert on immigration requirements, timelines, and policy implications.
  • Support expatriate and short-term international assignments, including coordination of tax, payroll, housing, schooling, and cultural integration.
  • Collaborate with HR, payroll, tax, and finance teams to manage cross-border employment issues and costs.
  • Maintain mobility policies and ensure alignment with global compensation and benefits frameworks.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for relocating employees and their families, offering guidance and troubleshooting support throughout the process.
  • Facilitate pre-departure and repatriation processes, including documentation, orientation, and ongoing support.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of immigration status, visa expirations, and assignment details.
  • Monitor compliance with international labor and immigration laws, GDPR, and company policies.
  • Analyze mobility trends and propose improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Leverage technology and tools to streamline global mobility processes.
