About The Position

The Global Mission-Critical Business Head is responsible for accelerating Tait's global growth in mission-critical markets, with a strong emphasis on Public Safety. This role ensures the successful, efficient, and consistent delivery of market-specific mission-critical products and solutions that create measurable customer value and deliver sustained growth in orders, revenue, margin, and market-share. As a senior leader within the CRO Mission-Critical and Enterprise Go-to-Market organization, the role provides global commercial leadership, aligning strategy, execution, and performance across regions. It drives market adoption, enables high-impact sales and solution initiatives, and ensures mission-critical offerings are commercially viable, market-ready, and executed with discipline and consistency worldwide. This role leads transformational programs and commercial execution efforts, translating validated market needs into scalable solutions, clear priorities, and measurable business outcomes that support both near-term performance and long-term mission-critical growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Professional qualifications or demonstrated expertise in project or product management, systems engineering, and/or complex solution sales (formal certifications preferred but not required).
  • 10+ years of experience in Public Safety and mission-critical communications, combining deep technical knowledge with strong market and customer insight.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mission-critical technologies, including P25 and/or MCX, and adjacent public safety communications solutions.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth, managing complex deals, and delivering profitable outcomes.
  • Established credibility and industry relationships, including success in positioning, and securing high-value mission-critical solutions with measurable market and revenue impact.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Global Mission-Critical Growth
  • Lead global growth of mission‑critical solutions, with primary emphasis on Public Safety.
  • Deliver measurable increases in orders, revenue, margin, and market share across mission‑critical technologies, including:
  • P25 systems and terminals
  • MCX / broadband mission‑critical solutions
  • Drive growth through lifecycle expansion, platform adoption, and strategic new customer wins.
  • Regional Alignment & Commercial Execution
  • Partner with Regional GMs to align mission‑critical commercial objectives, priorities, and execution plans.
  • Ensure consistent global execution while accounting for distinct regional market dynamics, regulatory environments, and customer requirements.
  • Act as the single global commercial voice for mission‑critical outcomes while enabling regional ownership and accountability.
  • Global Commercial Ownership
  • Define and own the global mission‑critical commercial scope, including:
  • Sales and order targets
  • Budgets and investment priorities
  • Market and customer requirements
  • Align closely with regional leadership to ensure targets are realistic, executable, and clearly owned.
  • Executive Deal & Customer Leadership
  • Provide commercial leadership for priority mission‑critical pursuits, particularly large, complex, and strategic opportunities.
  • Engage directly with executive‑level customers, sponsors, and stakeholders where required.
  • Lead or support:
  • Solution positioning
  • Value proposition articulation
  • Pricing strategy and commercial structuring
  • Executive negotiations and deal closure
  • Go-to-Market Readiness & Launch Accountability
  • Own commercial go‑to‑market readiness for mission‑critical solutions prior to launch.
  • Validate and approve:
  • Value proposition and customer fit
  • Pricing and commercial models
  • Sales enablement readiness
  • Delivery, services, and operational alignment
  • Partner with Product, Services, Operations, and Sales to ensure solutions are market‑ready and scalable.
  • Pipeline Quality & Predictable Performance
  • Strengthen pipeline quality and market adoption, improving:
  • Conversion rates
  • Deal velocity
  • Forecast accuracy and predictability
  • Ensure mission‑critical funnel activity contributes reliably to orders and revenue targets, particularly in Public Safety.
  • Market Shaping & Ecosystem Leverage
  • Leverage an established ecosystem of industry consultants, influencers, system integrators, and lobbyists to:
  • Shape mission‑critical market opportunities
  • Support regulatory and spectrum positioning
  • Accelerate adoption of Tait's mission‑critical solutions globally
  • Actively influence market direction rather than reacting to it.
  • Governance, Prioritization & Performance Management
  • Establish and lead mission-critical commercial governance, including:
  • Opportunity and investment prioritization
  • Resource trade-offs
  • Performance reviews, transparency, and alignment across regions.
  • Ensure disciplined execution, transparency, and alignment across regions.
  • Accountability for Business Outcomes
  • Fully accountable for global mission-critical business KPIs, including:
  • Orders
  • Revenue
  • Margin and profitability
  • Maintain a primary focus on Public Safety performance and outcomes, while supporting broader mission-critical growth.
