About the Opportunity Northeastern University Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowships Program is a two-year experiential program designed to advance lifelong learning and the education and training of Pharm.D. graduates. A key element of the program’s success is preparing Fellows to meet evolving workforce needs across various sectors of the pharmaceutical industry. Fellows have the opportunity to work closely with our innovative biopharmaceutical industry partners, while engaging with Northeastern University faculty in professional and career development, teaching, service, and scholarly activities. In partnership with Northeastern University, Zevra Therapeutics is offering a two-year Global Medical Affairs fellowship, based in Boston, Massachusetts. About Zevra Therapeutics We are a rare disease therapeutics company leading with science to make life-changing therapeutics available to patients with significant unmet needs. We involve key thought leaders, physicians, patients, care partners, and advocacy groups in all of our clinical and regulatory development strategies. With a keen understanding that drug development often requires creative solutions, we have the insight and expertise to forge new pathways to success that others have missed. By following the data without bias, our transparent narratives and common-sense perspective have successfully overcome complex development challenges to make much-needed therapies available to patients. Nimble and dauntless, we push boundaries beyond what is thought to be possible and advance new therapies that have the potential to bring meaningful improvement to patients’ lives. Responsibilities The Medical Affairs fellowship at Zevra Therapeutics provides fellows with a comprehensive introduction to the structure, responsibilities, and impact of a Medical Affairs department, both within the organization and in its interactions with the broader healthcare community. During the fellowship, participants will work on diverse projects that deepen their knowledge of various disease areas, product data, and the core functions of Medical Affairs. Fellows will gain insight into industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices that guide activities such as scientific communications, healthcare professional and patient engagement, and the development of educational and promotional materials. The role will be built on a rotational model, allowing for experience in Scientific Communications/Publications, Medical Information, Medical Strategy under the Medical Director, and field engagements via Medical Science Liaisons. The fellow will also be involved in cross-functional opportunities with Legal and Compliance, Commercial, Market Access/HEOR, Patient Advocacy, and Regulatory Affairs. The position is based on-site in Boston, MA.
