About The Position

The Global Medical Affairs and Outcomes Research (MAOR) Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide fellows with comprehensive exposure to various facets of the pharmaceutical industry, particularly within the Medical Affairs organization. The program emphasizes digital innovation and high-impact projects that align with business development opportunities, allowing fellows to gain hands-on experience in critical areas such as Global Medical Customer Interface and Strategic Medical Content & Channels.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have completed a Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution before July 1 of the fellowship term.

Responsibilities

  • Gain access to and experience the daily functions of GMCI, providing accurate, timely, and unbiased responses to unsolicited Medical Information Requests (MIRs).
  • Provide medical review of promotional and scientific exchange materials to ensure scientific accuracy and minimize compliance risk.
  • Collaborate with commercial and medical stakeholders on sales training initiatives to ethically leverage and train the Global Sales Force.
  • Interact cross-functionally with departments including Learning and Development, Global Safety, and Marketing.
  • Integrate into the SMCC team as a strategic partner for Women's Health, Biosimilars, and Established Brands franchises.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with Global Medical Therapeutic Area Leads to develop innovative medical content.
  • Assist in developing timely resources and training for global launch activities.
  • Facilitate the integration of digital innovation in communicating global medical content.
  • Participate in global publication planning committees and support medical congress activities.
  • Partner with the Global Field Medical Center of Excellence to empower Field Medical Affairs teams.
  • Evaluate best practices and assess internal unmet needs to drive scientific exchange.
  • Develop tools and templates aligned with field medical engagement plans.
