About The Position

The Global Maintenance Intelligence & Innovation Lead is responsible for driving the adoption of advanced maintenance intelligence, predictive analytics, digital solutions, and innovation across all CSL Behring sites. This role leads global efforts to modernize maintenance practices, integrate data-driven decision making, and leverage new technologies to enhance asset performance, reliability, and operational excellence. The position partners with site maintenance, reliability, engineering, digital, and operations teams to transform how maintenance is planned, executed, monitored, and improved, always aligned with CSL’s commitment to quality, patient focus, and global standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or related technical field required.
  • 7+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering within a manufacturing, biopharma, or highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing predictive or condition-based maintenance programs, advanced analytics, digital maintenance tools, or maintenance-related innovation at site or enterprise level.
  • Experience implementing predictive and data driven maintenance approaches to reduce downtime, improve equipment performance, and strengthen compliance readiness.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-site, matrixed organization, with capability to influence across functions, regions, and cultures.
  • Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or utility systems relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing or utility infrastructure.
  • Experience collaborating with IT, data analytics, reliability, operations, and procurement to deploy maintenance systems and digital tools.
  • Strong technical mastery of maintenance, asset management, and engineering fundamentals.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills to interpret asset health data and support decision-making.
  • Leadership in innovation and change management to drive technology and continuous improvement globally.
  • Ability to influence and lead in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills across functions, cultures, and seniority levels.
  • Cross-cultural collaboration and global mindset to work with diverse teams across multiple sites and geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Global Maintenance Intelligence and Innovation Strategy - Define and maintain a global roadmap for maintenance intelligence, digital transformation, and innovation in maintenance practices across all manufacturing sites.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and deploy advanced maintenance technologies including predictive maintenance tools (condition monitoring, vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasound, IoT sensors), analytics platforms, and digital work-management systems. (These methods are consistent with the industry shift toward proactive maintenance using data and predictive maintenance strategies.)
  • Establish global standards and governance for maintenance data collection, asset health monitoring, performance metrics, and analytics to ensure consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs related to maintenance intelligence, asset health, predictive maintenance effectiveness, and return on investment of innovation initiatives.
  • Digital Systems and Data Governance- Provide global ownership for maintenance-related data systems (CMMS, EAM, data analytics platforms), ensuring master data consistency, standardized naming conventions, and accurate asset hierarchies to support analytics and reporting. (Consistent with good CMMS practices.)
  • Collaborate with IT, digital, and data analytics teams to integrate maintenance data with business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reporting systems for real-time insight and decision support.
  • Ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness of maintenance data and analytics processes, particularly in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
  • Innovation Deployment, Continuous Improvement and Best Practices- Lead global innovation projects aimed at reducing downtime, increasing asset reliability, optimizing maintenance costs, and improving operational performance.
  • Facilitate pilots, proof-of-concept studies, and roll-out of new maintenance technologies or methodologies; assess results, standardize successful innovations, and disseminate globally.
  • Promote sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and innovation outcomes across sites to drive continuous improvement and maturity in maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Develop training, guidance, and change management materials to support adoption of new maintenance intelligence tools and processes at all sites.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement- Work closely with site maintenance, operations, reliability, engineering, quality, supply chain, procurement, and IT across regions to ensure alignment of innovation efforts with business and regulatory needs.
  • Engage vendors, external technology providers, and service partners to evaluate, select, and implement maintenance-related technologies, sensors, analytics software, and predictive maintenance services.
  • Act as a global subject matter expert, advising leadership on technology trends, reliability risks, total cost of ownership, and opportunities for improved asset management through innovation.

  • Other Responsibilities- Provide input on capital projects, equipment upgrades, or new installations to incorporate readiness for advanced maintenance systems, sensor integration, and lifecycle monitoring.
  • Support global audits, inspections, and reviews related to maintenance intelligence, predictive maintenance, and data governance.
  • Participate in global forums, steering committees, or working groups for maintenance excellence, digital transformation, and reliability innovation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, members of the Global Leadership Team, or other authorized leaders in support of evolving business needs and cross-functional collaboration.
