We are seeking an experienced Global Leaves Manager to build and lead our new Leave of Absence (LOA) pillar, supporting employees across 28 countries. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in standing up a global capability from the ground up-designing processes, hiring and developing a team, and creating scalable solutions that deliver excellence in employee experience and compliance. This role is responsible for the effective administration, compliance, and execution oversight of global leave programs and policies. The Manager leads a team of specialists and coordinates with internal stakeholders, vendors, and legal/compliance teams to ensure that all program operations are aligned with company policy, regulatory requirements, and employee needs. This role plays a key part in driving continual process improvements, employee experience enhancements, and harmonization of benefits practices across the organization.

  • Overseeing Leave Procedures: Managing day to day tasks, processes and projects, including the development and implementation of Leave management systems and providing a high level of structure and organization within the department.
  • Managing Staff: Hiring, training, and managing daily workflows of specialists and completing performance enablement reviews bi-monthly, monitoring goal setting and ongoing progress, coordinating regular team meetings.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensuring leave practices and policies comply with relevant laws and regulations and audits.
  • Coordinating with Other Departments: Collaborating with Total Rewards COE, HR, Payroll, Legal, Communications, Audit and Finance teams to ensure coordinated day to day administration execution and support.
  • Resolving Complex leave and separations Issues: Addressing and resolving eligibility, file feed, errors, vendor claim issues and other system related errors or discrepancies.
  • Monitoring and tracking SLAs with vendors and setting internal standards for leave administration services for employees and HR partners.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships, including financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and frequent communication with vendors to address issues promptly and foster strong relationships.
  • Compliance Management and Tracking: Ensure vendors and the team comply with SOX and Ball's internal controls policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve vendor management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of global leave regulations and US FMLA and ADA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in leave design and vendor management.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills; working knowledge of HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Solves complex problems, works independently, receives minimal guidance.
  • Highly proficient analytical, interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.
  • Handle sensitive and proprietary information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
