About The Position

International Justice Mission (IJM) is seeking a Global Senior Lead, Financial Systems Strategist to lead finance systems initiatives, including Workday, Adaptive Planning, QuickBooks, M-files, SmartSheet, and other relevant systems. This role is responsible for managing business requirements, change management, and project management related to enhancements to our Finance Systems. The position involves developing and maintaining the Finance Systems portfolio roadmap and managing individual projects, including user acceptance testing and training. This is a hybrid position for candidates in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates, reporting to the Global Director, Treasury.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience including 1+ years of leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of Finance systems experience, including new module implementation, project management, issue management, communication, and change management.
  • 3+ years of Workday Financials configuration and requirements gathering experience strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading technical projects required.
  • High proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools preferred.
  • Experience with Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain awareness of best practices in Finance Systems by attending conferences and building relationships with peers.
  • Lead senior Finance Management through regular Finance Systems Roadmap reviews, obtaining input and shared buy-in.
  • Negotiate trade-offs as required and align with GTS and HR roadmaps.
  • Lead monthly Finance stakeholder partnership meetings and ensure effective execution of large projects.
  • Design system testing, developing test scenarios, managing testing sessions, and adjusting training accordingly.
  • Develop networks with other customers to leverage best practices for IJM.
  • Partner with Finance, HR teams, and GTS to define and refine requirements for new features and enhancements.
  • Direct the work of external consultants as needed and partner with project leaders to effectively plan and execute projects.
  • Lead requirements gathering, technical documentation, execution of technical work, and vendor estimates for complex projects.
  • Manage project-specific communications and handle critical issue escalation and management.
  • Be a coach and mentor to other team members and support the production of training materials for the user base.
