About The Position

The IS M&A Program Manager - HRIS plays a critical role in orchestrating the efficient planning and execution of M&A programs across acquisitions, divestments, and Transitional Service Agreement (TSA) lifecycles, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. This role partners with Senior Management, such as Business Leaders, Business Area M&A HR Leads, Business Area HR Manager, Core Functions. The work model for the role is hybrid.

Requirements

  • A Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in IT/IS and profound program/project management.
  • Skilled in overseeing technical separation, or global migrations, of complex HR IS landscapes - including Workday, payroll, time & attendance, benefits, and talent systems - during M&A transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to support service continuity via TSA models and manage integration with global SAP ERP platforms across multiple countries.
  • 5+ years of experience with, and deep knowledge of, IS M&A and the impact on the IT/IS landscape.
  • Leadership skills in program/project management, including delivery methodology, extended team structures, and cultural awareness in complex environments.
  • Advanced analytical, conceptual, strategic planning, influencing, negotiation and execution skills.
  • Business sensitivity: Understanding confidential nature surrounding M&A.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written), additional languages are beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the efficient planning and execution of HRIS-related M&A activities - acquisitions, divestitures, and transitional services - ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide expert guidance, apply standard methodologies, and oversee coordination across core IS, internal and external delivery partners.
  • Lead the HRIS Workstream for the Robotics spin off project end to end, including technical separation of HR IS platforms - including Workday and integrations with ABB's SAP systems across 50+ countries.
  • Ensure data flows, interfaces, and system access are logically separated to enable HR Operations to maintain payroll, time, benefits, and related applications and services during the TSA period.
  • Build an effective network and provide advisory services, including guidance, consulting and knowledge, to all Corporate Functions, Shared Services, and Business stakeholders, in all phases of the M&A lifecycle.
  • Manage interdependencies across ABB departments and resolves stakeholder conflicts effectively.
  • Ensure M&A strategic projects and change leadership services are delivered and enhanced in line with IS and ABB Strategy to meet the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate the teams of highly effective IS M&A professionals in a cross-cultural environment, demonstrating consumer centricity, motivated attitude, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Align executive stakeholders across multiple Business Areas, Business Area M&A Teams, Core Functions and all Business functions as needed for M&A acquisitions, divestitures, and transitional services.
  • Define and manage IS M&A HRIS services governance, aligning responsibilities and accountabilities with internal and external stakeholders as required.
