About The Position

The position involves developing and overseeing Industrial Hygiene (IH) programs, including chemical hygiene, radiation safety, ventilation standards, and occupational exposure levels (OELs). The role requires leading the delivery of qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments and performing exposure risk assessment projects for various stressors such as chemicals, biological agents, physical hazards, and ergonomic stressors. The individual will align occupational exposure monitoring standards for chemicals and gases globally, considering local regulations and capabilities. Responsibilities also include maintaining the OEL registry, preparing hazardous materials release impact assessments, and influencing planning and design groups to optimize risk and efficiency for new hazardous material usage. Additionally, the role supports emergency preparedness and response plans for specific hazards and site conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 8 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.
  • Must be able to travel internationally up to 25%.
  • Must be fluent in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or related work experience preferred.
  • Certified Industrial Hygiene certification preferred.
  • Must be capable of obtaining certification within established time upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop IH programs such as chemical hygiene, radiation safety, ventilation standards, and occupational exposure levels (OELs).
  • Oversee the implementation of these standards.
  • Lead the delivery of qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments.
  • Perform exposure risk assessment projects for chemicals, biological agents, physical hazards, and ergonomic stressors.
  • Align occupational exposure monitoring standards for chemicals and gases globally with local regulations and capabilities.
  • Maintain OEL registry.
  • Prepare hazardous materials release impact assessments, abatement specifications, work plans, and operation and maintenance programs.
  • Influence planning and design groups to optimize risk, efficiency, and speed for new hazardous material usage.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response plans for Lam-specific hazards and site conditions.
