As a senior leader and Managing Director, you will drive the technology roadmap, partner with the CIO's, Trading Desks, and Research teams, and oversee a resilient, scalable, and innovative trading technology stack. This role is central to our modernization journey, advancing the adoption of cloud-native architectures, GenAI-enabled workflows, and future-state technologies, to position State Street IM at the forefront of trading innovation.

  • Define and execute the global trading technology strategy in alignment with business growth, regulatory evolution, and market structure changes.
  • Drive front-to-back platform integration across OMS, EMS, market data, risk, and post-trade systems for holistic trading solutions.
  • Lead the migration and modernization of trading systems towards cloud-native, API-first, and microservices-oriented architectures.
  • Oversee technology for multi-asset trading across equities, fixed income, FX, ETFs, listed/OTC derivatives, and structured products.
  • Manage and evolve buy-side OMS and EMS platforms to ensure seamless trade execution and integration.
  • Deliver robust FIX connectivity, market access, smart order routing, and low-latency execution capabilities aligned with the needs of global trading desks.
  • Champion the adoption of Generative AI for research insights, trader productivity, and automated decision support.
  • Explore and evaluate Quantum computing applications for optimizing trade execution, risk management, and portfolio rebalancing.
  • Integrate cutting-edge trading tools, advanced data platforms, and digital asset infrastructure to future-proof trading technology.
  • Serve as the primary technology partner for global trading desks, CIO, and research teams, ensuring technology solutions are business-driven and user-centric.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and operations to ensure regulatory adherence, operational resilience, and exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing global technology team across multiple trading hubs.
  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and team engagement to support business growth and technology transformation.
  • Ensure resiliency, scalability, and operational excellence of all trading systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Oversee the end-to-end technology lifecycle—from concept and design to deployment and adoption—across asset classes and geographies.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics for platform usage, execution quality, risk mitigation, and business value enablement.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, promoting robust integration and service performance.
  • Minimum 10+ years of senior leadership experience in trading technology within asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking.
  • Deep expertise in multi-asset electronic trading, including equities, fixed income, FX, ETFs, and both listed and OTC derivatives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full investment lifecycle and front-to-back trading workflows.
  • Hands-on technical proficiency in FIX protocols, market connectivity, order/execution management, integration frameworks, and modern programming languages (Java, Python).
  • Proven track record in delivering scalable, user-centric trading platforms and managing large-scale global technology transformations.
  • Expertise managing buy-side OMS and EMS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architectures, APIs, and interoperability standards.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as GenAI, Quantum computing, and digital assets solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional, global technology teams across product, data, and engineering domains.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with ability to interface at the C-suite and board levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of global regulatory and compliance frameworks for electronic trading.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS Financial Engineering, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
