We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced leader to join our team as the Global Head of Strategic Client Expansion & Growth. In this role, you will lead a high-performing, global team focused on expanding and deepening relationships with our largest and most strategic clients. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in driving growth through existing accounts, managing complex enterprise relationships, and executing strategic expansion initiatives that deliver tangible business value.

Responsibilities

  • Own the development and execution of strategies to increase share-of-wallet with Adyen’s key enterprise clients.
  • Identify and drive new growth opportunities within existing client accounts.
  • Lead a team of 10+ professionals, including regional leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Mentor and develop strategic growth managers, setting clear goals and providing continuous feedback.
  • Engage with C-level executives and senior leaders at global enterprises to strengthen long-term relationships and ensure mutual business success.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the team’s strategy is aligned with Adyen’s broader goals.
  • Spearhead key negotiations, contracts, and business deals to unlock revenue opportunities.
  • Optimize processes and workflows to increase efficiency in identifying and executing growth initiatives.
  • Establish best practices and share insights across regions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic commercial roles with a focus on enterprise clients, business development, and growth strategies.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in managing and scaling global teams.
  • Strong background in enterprise sales, account management, or strategic partnerships.
  • Payments experience is a must — you understand the economics of payments and how to drive value for clients.
  • A skilled negotiator who can drive high-stakes deals from inception to close.
  • An effective communicator and collaborator, comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a rapidly evolving industry.
