About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a remote Global Head of RWD Data Strategy & Technical Solutions to join our team! Location: Remote – United States Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility. Work Schedule: This is a full time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Requirements

  • Advanced post‑baccalaureate degree in a clinical, scientific, or health-related discipline.
  • 10 or more years of experience in biopharma consulting or real‑world data solution development.
  • 10 or more years of experience supporting pharmaceutical industry clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Doctor (MD) degree
  • Background with enterprise IT systems, data infrastructure, networks, or security.
  • Hands‑on expertise in data analysis.
  • Experience scaling data‑driven products and leading Real‑World Data initiatives using U.S. and international data sources.
  • Success in commercialization, business development, market expansion, and strategic partnership development.
  • Deep expertise in RWD strategy, solution development, and commercialization models such as B2B, pharmaceutical partnerships, and data cleanrooms.
  • Strong external presence through industry engagement, publications, and client‑facing presentations.
  • Technical proficiency in data analytics and emerging technologies including AI and machine learning in healthcare.
  • Ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and drive alignment in cross‑functional environments.
  • Knowledge of regulatory, privacy, and security requirements for healthcare data.
  • Communication skills enabling effective engagement with C‑suite executives and translation of technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Global Strategic Leadership Define and lead the Real‑World Data strategy to maximize the value of U.S. and international data assets while ensuring alignment with business priorities and evolving market needs.
  • Develop and deliver therapeutic area strategies for global evidence generation and RWD solution development.
  • Drive innovation by championing evidence‑based data products and solutions that support precision medicine, personalized care, and diversity‑focused research.
  • Monitor industry, regulatory, and customer trends to inform strategic adjustments and competitive positioning.
  • Offering Development Oversee the design, validation, and commercialization of RWD offerings, including predictive models, risk stratification tools, and epidemiological frameworks supporting clinical development and real‑world evidence.
  • Ensure offerings reflect scientific integrity, regulatory compliance, privacy standards, and industry best practices.
  • Recommend strategies to respond to market dynamics including provider‑controlled data, cloud‑based analytics, multi‑modal evidence requirements, and regulatory acceptance of high‑fidelity RWD.
  • Identify opportunities for both breakthrough innovation and incremental growth.
  • Operational Excellence Identify ways to leverage AI tools to optimize operational models, data pipelines, and delivery frameworks for scalability, efficiency, and scientific rigor.
  • Ensure high‑quality execution of RWD solutions with measurable customer and scientific impact.
  • Maintain alignment with global data governance frameworks and ethical data standards.
  • Team Leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing, cross‑disciplinary team of data, scientific, and commercial professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, and customer value.
  • Drive team performance toward annual growth and revenue objectives.
  • Additional Expertise Experience generating meaningful revenue using U.S. and international RWD across therapeutic areas such as immunology, neurology, cardio‑metabolic, or maternal health.
  • Experience delivering custom analytics using multi‑modal RWD.
