This is a HYBRID schedule, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite in either our Rancho Cordova or Boston office.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex fund tax issues, focusing on alternative investments and digital assets.
  • Oversee tax compliance and governance frameworks.
  • Research and advise on tax implications of fund structures and transactions.
  • Support fund planning with portfolio managers.
  • Lead special projects, including automation and legislative implementation.
  • Advise on strategic tax matters and internal policy development.
  • Assess and mitigate tax-related risks.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers.
  • Lead change initiatives and educate teams on tax best practices.
  • 10+ years in tax, preferably focused on investment funds.
  • Master's degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, or Finance.
  • CPA, CA, or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Expertise in retail and private investment structures.
  • Knowledge of complex securities and alternative investments.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with project management and automation tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Accountability, solution oriented, growth minded and collaborative.
