About The Position

The Global Fund Custody Onboarding Specialist role at U.S. Bank involves providing dedicated support to Global Fund Services custody clients during the onboarding process. This position is responsible for managing onboarding events, establishing new investment services accounts, and ensuring smooth transitions from onboarding to ongoing account servicing. The specialist will work closely with clients, Business Development Officers, and Relationship Managers to validate account documentation and communicate effectively throughout the onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically four to six years of job-related experience, preferably in institutional trust and/or financial industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of trust administration, products, and sales.
  • Thorough knowledge of account management, trust operations, project management, and legal regulations.
  • Ability to develop new business.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services or investment management.
  • Familiarity with mutual funds, exchange traded funds, hedge funds, and private equity funds.

Responsibilities

  • Support Business Development Officer and Relationship Manager teams by participating in routine client onboarding calls.
  • Partner with other Global Fund Custody teams to ensure smooth client transitions from onboarding to ongoing account servicing.
  • Validate new account documentation is completed in line with product details and client intent prior to account setup.
  • Ensure account openings are processed timely and accurately based on client elections, retaining critical documents within systems of record.
  • Initiate fee billing for new accounts.
  • Effectively communicate efforts, status updates, and challenges to Relationship Managers and Global Fund Custody Management team, ensuring proper escalation as needed.
  • Take ownership of assigned relationships and serve as an escalation point for clients.
  • Embrace technology and find new ways to solve problems.
