About The Position
UPS Global Finance is offering a summer internship designed to provide students with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the finance and accounting sectors of a Fortune Global 500 organization. This internship is tailored to immerse interns in the corporate culture of UPS, allowing them to engage in exciting team projects that have high visibility and a lasting impact on the company. Throughout the summer, interns will have significant exposure to senior leadership and various functional areas of finance, culminating in a presentation of their insights and recommendations to finance executives at the end of the program. This experience is not only about learning but also about contributing to the strategic decision-making processes that drive the company forward. Interns will have the chance to work in several departments within Finance & Accounting, including the Global Accounting Center, Risk Management, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Financial Reports and Plans, and US Domestic Finance. Each department offers unique responsibilities, from evaluating statutory fixed asset sub-ledgers and managing global insurance programs to establishing tax strategies and optimizing short-term working capital. This diverse exposure will equip interns with a comprehensive understanding of the finance function within a large corporation and the skills necessary to succeed in their future careers.
