Job Description Summary JLL is looking for a client-focused and analytical problem-solver who is highly organized and deadline-oriented, and comfortable working across global teams. Our Global Finance Manager is accountable for leading a team of professionals through a variety of accounting and financial reporting processes, including monthly close, cash management, translation and consolidated financial reporting, and FP&A activities. This role is accountable for team results and must ensure compliance in all accounting and financial processes. What this job involves: Lead the team in managing all monthly financial close activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of all journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 7-10 years relevant work experience with 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Strong accounting acumen with prior experience working across global teams.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PeopleSoft or SAP (or similar ERPs).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing and changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and strong work ethic.
  • Understanding of and commitment to client services.
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA a plus.
  • Audit and internal controls background a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance and day-to-day workload of assigned staff.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of client and corporate accounting requirements, translate those requirements to operational and finance teams, and maintain processes to ensure established requirements are met.
  • Create and present consolidated monthly reporting package inclusive of variance analysis, supporting schedules, and forward-looking commentary inclusive of risks and opportunities to contractual budget.
  • Oversee cash management procedures to ensure accounts receivable/payable objectives and contractual vendor repayment requirements are achieved.
  • Provide leadership on financial activities to a variety of non-financial audiences and operational teams, including clients, property managers, and engineers.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement processes and financial controls within the framework of GAAP, JLL policies, and client policies.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for global finance teams.
  • Assist in compilation and analysis of financial and operational data required for certain quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Act as advisor and strategic partner for all financial, operational, and client matters.
  • Become subject matter expert on client’s contractual requirements (Master Services Agreement) to ensure appropriate interpretation, revenue recognition, and timely and accurate billing.
  • Identify, quantify, propose, and implement ongoing process improvement opportunities.
  • Manage and mentor staff and help guide development (including preparation of goals and recurring performance reviews).
  • Additional projects and requests as needed.
