About The Position

The Director, CQV Center of Excellence (Commissioning, Qualification & Validation), is a global role responsible for driving business growth in Commissioning, Qualification & Validation; inclusive of equipment, facilities, computer, process and cleaning validation. This will be accomplished by client support/consulting to life sciences customers, and skills development (training development, knowledge transfer and/or coaching of agents) within each region to support service delivery and execution of market-leading strategies. This senior role requires a commitment to customer-service excellence and thought leadership of their area. The Director will work collaboratively across the organization to meet strategic priorities, to derisk project delivery through defined services, and deploy systems supporting delivery of the practice and technical knowledge within the practice. This role requires organization, systems-thinking, establishment of norms in service delivery and a focus on customers while seizing on opportunities to grow our footprint.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (preferred)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or R&D site operations
  • Deep understanding of OR/OE strategies and life sciences quality requirements
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Strong project management skills
  • Familiarity with enabling technologies (e.g., CMMS, MES)
  • Excellent facilitation and virtual meeting skills
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation abilities
  • Budget management experience
  • Active connections within pharmaceutical industry forums
  • Global perspective with the ability to navigate cultural and geographic differences

Responsibilities

  • Service Quality & Operational Excellence
  • Establishes and supports the quality systems for work performed within the practice and supports senior-level client engagement - in high-visibility projects.
  • Develops and publishes procedures, guidelines, tools, and templates for efficient and consistent execution of repeatable work.
  • Serves as an active mentor for agents to build internal capabilities within the organization.
  • Talent Management & Team Development
  • Collaborates with the Training department to customize the qualification program for services related to the practice
  • Recommends industry conferences or other external training to support skill development supporting service delivery
  • Assists development of internal training in support of skills development supporting service delivery
  • Industry Engagement & Market Positioning
  • Drives thought leadership, industry engagement and support to marketing
  • Actively participates in marketing events
  • Develop market assets - blogs, case studies, etc.
  • Proposal support and bid defense
