About The Position

The Indirect Procurement Global Director will be responsible for overseeing a team for purchasing, logistics and other related departments. They ensure that all purchasing requests are completed in an efficient, timely manner, while simultaneously working to lower costs, as well as manage inventory and budgets. As the Global Indirect Procurement Director, you will: Lead a Global Team of sourcing professionals, shaping a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. Develop and execute innovative category strategies that drive cost savings, enhance supply continuity, and support business growth. Partner cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing leaders to align sourcing with enterprise-wide objectives. Leverage tools like should-cost modeling, TCO analysis, and e-Sourcing to drive smarter decision-making. Build and maintain world-class supplier relationships, developing robust evaluation and performance management frameworks. Stay ahead of market trends to mitigate risk, capture value, and ensure agility in global supply chains. Guide tactical procurement teams to align day-to-day purchasing with strategic objectives. Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Requirements

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
  • Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
  • 12+ years of indirect sourcing experience with 6+ years managing global teams
  • Ability to travel 35% both domestically and to Global Regions

Nice To Haves

  • Oracle ERP Experience desired (R11 and/or R12)
  • Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing experience strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Directs inventory management and material budgets
  • Directs implementation of innovative strategies for cost reduction, quality and other aspects
  • Oversee analyses of market conditions and trends to predict future supply needs
  • Direct cross functional team in the execution of medium to large strategic sourcing initiatives and the implementation of category strategies
  • Oversee consistent communication with suppliers to ensure timelines is met
  • Direct interactions between suppliers and functional teams to answer any questions related to any documents
  • Oversee negotiations ranging from Long Term Agreements to individual Purchase Orders
