About The Position

As a Global Demand Planner at Molex, you will be responsible for generating and driving the Global Unconstrained Demand Forecast for assigned products. This role involves collaboration with internal and external customers to provide accurate short and long-term forecasts, ensuring alignment with business projections from Product Management and Sales. You will analyze marketing and sales activities to adjust forecasts, minimize excess inventory, and work closely with the Supply Planning Team to address supply shortfalls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of experience in a high volume/high speed corporate environment.
• Experience or understanding in Sales, S&OP, or Supply Chain Management.
• Practical knowledge of statistical packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS).
• Skilled use of SAP, BW, PowerBI, and Rapid Response.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a collaborative approach with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers to develop accurate mid to long-term demand forecasts.
• Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data using statistical models for demand forecasting.
• Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile variances and refine forecast models based on updated assumptions.
• Load and validate updated demand forecasts in the demand management environment (Kinaxis Rapid Response).
• Conduct analysis to identify causes of forecast errors and drive continuous improvement in demand predictability.
• Monitor key management issues such as capacity constraints and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Engage with Product and Project managers regarding EOL phases and new product ramp-ups.
• Drive process improvements to reduce forecast error and bias.
• Lead meetings with senior management and drive organizational change.
