Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master of Science degree preferred.
  • Experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Robotics, with an emphasis on automation.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; open to mentorship from senior colleagues.
  • Strong project development, implementation, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and diligent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, replicate, modify, and support global automation systems in Belgium, France, US, Mexico, China, Japan, and India.
  • Apply sophisticated PLC/SCADA/Simotion proficiencies to global initiatives, with a focus on the software development process.
  • Build test plans to verify the fitness of software for use.
  • Carry out commissioning and support validation of control systems.
  • Develop accurate time estimates for control software development tasks.
  • Act as a liaison between R&D and production site automation (control systems) engineers/maintenance.
  • Help management encourage colleagues to actively contribute to environmental and health safety initiatives.
  • Design modifications to existing automation systems based on process diagrams, user requirements, functional requirements, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and machine mechanical drawings.
