About The Position

The Experiences and Services Community Team is growing and we want you to be part of it! The team is part of the wider Airbnb Community Team that supports our global community of Homes, Experiences and Services hosts - one of Airbnb’s most precious assets. We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to build our Services Host Community strategy globally. You will implement and iterate on Community programs that engage Hosts at scale, such as Host events and Host Clubs, while also innovating and testing new methods that can influence and strengthen the global community strategy.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of in-depth & demonstrated experience with Community strategy, events and building online Communities.
  • Previous experience scaling communities while maintaining high engagement.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in leading programs and processes.
  • Ability to approach Community through a strategic business lens and align Community goals with business goals.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Google suite, Community platforms, Event management tools and other analytical tools.
  • Entrepreneurial and action-oriented, with a growth mindset.
  • Highly autonomous, self-driven - you can build processes from scratch or follow playbooks.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective cross functional partner with ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.
  • Fluency in English. Another language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the community engagement strategy for global Service hosts including how to support, grow and engage these hosts at scale.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the central Airbnb Community team and Services Host Communities, coordinating and prioritizing cross functional activities, and reporting on overall Community sentiment.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to identify trends, risks, opportunities and develop Community led plans to address or unlock value.
  • Drive impactful events and initiatives in key markets from conception to completion, ensuring measurable outcomes at every stage.
  • Build the local and global Services Host Connection Strategy to implement in 2026, and the operating model to support.
  • Organize and lead effective in-person and online Services Community events to listen, connect, and educate services hosts, and grow the Services host community.
  • Develop and test strategies to educate and connect services hosts at a local level to grow their business and build community.
  • Influence regional prioritization for local events, regional communities, process improvement, and program feedback.
  • Test new methods for connecting Homes, Experience and Service Hosts globally.
  • Lead pilots and drive innovation to advance Community OKRs on health and impact, with clear ways to measure success.
